New Year New You....πŸ’ƒπŸΎπŸ’ƒπŸΎπŸ’ƒπŸΎ

This is my favorite time of the year as we near the end!  There is so much power in looking back on the past year! Reviewing your successes and failures and also remembering key lessons we have learned!  On the blog I will go over several tips that you can make creating your New Years Resolutions a success! I have reviewed several of them on instastories but this is the more in depth version that has other useful tips!!

1. Declutter and Clear away distractions
I recommend this step as it allows you to make space for new things to happen!  It doesn't necessarily mean only cleaning away physical things but also spiritually decluttering and also letting go of people and thoughts that no longer serve you and will allow you to be successful!! Gotta let it go and move on if you want to be successful out the new year!! New Year New You!!

2. Make a physical list of all of your achievements and lessons  from the past year!

This is meant to encourage you to review your past year and mainly for you to realize you have soo much to be thankful for! If you are having a hard time think about you have your health you have a job you have your mind and even the ability and motivation to make a change! Some people don't have that option!! So realize you have a lot to be thankful for!

3. Take 5 minutes out of your day everyday to relax and have prayer or meditation!
This is useful as it encourages self care and also for you to tune into what your higher purpose is! I highly encourage you to try it today and see how much of a difference it makes. I personally like short 5 minute mediation videos on YouTube as it allows me to really relax and understand what I really need and how I am feeling during stressful times!
I actually use this one (https://youtu.be/wGFog-OuFDM) as it has bells to keep me on track when my attention goes elsewhere! After reviewing research so many successful people use meditation in the morning to stay focused and map out their day! Try it and see!!

4. Create a Vision Board of what you want to achieve for the upcoming year! I recommend a physical board with magazine cutouts but Pinterest will work as well!! *Create a handwritten list of your goals as well* There is so much power in a hand written list of goals!!
5. Ask yourself what you can do TODAY to reach your goal and do it!! This can be anything that will help you achieve it! Maybe research gym memberships if you want to be more healthy. Maybe this means researching colleges and grad schools for admissions! No matter how small you gotta take that step to achieve your goal!

6. Actively work on incorporating positive habits and thinking to achieve your goals of success!!
If you can change your thinking you can change your life!!
We all know that friend who is soo negative and no matter what happens she will always find something negative! There could be a rainbow outside and she would say its too bright!!
In order to be successful there is a need to be proactive and positive!  In regards to your habits it's important as it will allow you to set yourself up with the best foundation for growth and also will curve any counterproductive habits you have that's causing you not to be successful! For example you may be staying up late watching tv and that's what's causing you to gain weight as you eat while you watch tv! But instead if you only watched tv before dinner and found another past time you would end up curbing that bad habit that's causing you not to live a healthy life!

7. Make sure you check in throughout the year to check in on your progress!             Reward yourself for the hard work you have done to achieve this goal and also don't be discouraged if you aren't doing as good as you thought! One way to encourage growth is to have an accountability partner who wants the best for you and will encourage you along your journey!! Your inner circle is extremely important!
Jim Rohn  says you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with! So choose wisely!!
Let me know what y'all think below of the post as I will have a check in post in March to see how the resolutions are going!!

Happy New Year everyone!! πŸ₯‚πŸ₯‚
