This quote represents one of my mantras for the year!
Today I took a massive step outside my comfort zone and gave my first full speech at Toastmasters. It was by far one of the biggest steps I've taken and one I was very anxious about.
The crazy thing is I taught in a learning seminar last year with over 50 people in the room and I still had a nightmare about today's speech.
It's so eye-opening when you realize where your fears are! Once you find them I feel like it's so important not to run away from them but to hang out in the turmoil and uncomfortableness of it all.
Because if we are being honest we usually don't stay in that uncomfortable state for long.
But when we are in that uncomfortable state that's when we truly find out who we are and how far we have come and what we need to work on.
Today was definitely not an A+ Plus Day in regards to the execution of my speech but the clarity in purpose that I achieved was a total gift and one that I will never ever forget!
