Slayage of the Edges

This week as I'm scrolling through my Elle October magazine I was so surprised and elated to say the least to see the article about Baby Hairs by Janell H. Hickman. I have had to struggle
to lay my edges as I have THICK hair and if my edges are not permed they will not lay down....😂😂😂 so this article was definitely meant for me to read!

Anywho I thought it was mad cool that ELLE a national magazine had this article published and even brought up the appropriateness of having the edges laid. Some celebrities in the past who were not born with baby hairs have tried to mock or emulate the look of laid edges and have received backlash as they were not born with them. I personally think people should flaunt what they've got but not cut their hair to emulate this look!

Overall I thought it was mad cool and progressive of the Elle magazine to publish tips on having your edges laid!
Yasss queen as everyone knows as a black women one of the best compliments(okay top 10) is someone complimenting you in your laid edges!!!

In honor of today's post I'm sharing my tips on laid edges!

Materials needed
-Toothbrush
-Hick's Edge Control(my personal favorite as I have THiCK hair)

Make sure your hair is moisturizer and you don't use too much hair gel as you don't want your hair to break off! Also make sure you moisturize your hair with maybe (olive oil, aloe, coconut oil, or castor oil according to Taliah Waajid.
She also recommend that you wet your baby hairs before applying the hair gel which was a step I was missing for smoother application! The more you know!!

Also sharing some edge slayage below for inspo!!
